Senior Brand Manager

In this role, the Senior Brand Manager will manage a team of brand marketing and technical product specialists through the product development process, collaborating daily with our Design, Marketing, Operations and Project Management teams. Under their guidance, they will define and launch and manage the Hightower Studio brand and support Hightower’s international portfolio of workplace designs. This position will be able to develop and implement cross-functional processes and project management, develop creative and inspiring brand/product content and messaging, and provide analytical and strategic insights to grow product sales.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Senior Brand Manager will maintain a lot of autonomy and is responsible for an array of critical duties including:

  • Develop and manage the Hightower Studio brand and product portfolio, creating business cases for new product and category opportunities to support growth strategies
  • Lead the product development and new product launch processes, partnering cross-functionally on project management, processes, and tools required to improve efficiencies and meet deadlines
  • Inform new product development, understanding client needs and the current and changing workplace trends
  • Make recommendations on product design, statement of line, positioning, pricing, and go-to-market campaigns
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to use data to inform current product portfolio and future product development as part of the design process and to meet company wide financial goals
  • Collaborate with in-house and external creative partners to craft unique and compelling copy, stories and campaigns that inspire our clients and customers and drive engagement
  • Manage the Hightower Studio product lifecycle, providing recommendations to Design and Leadership on future opportunities, product extensions or redesigns, and discontinuation of products
  • Manage and develop the brand and product management team including the Brand Marketing Specialist (Import), Technical Product Manager (Import), and Technical Product Specialist (Hightower Studio)
  • Partner with the Senior Marketing Manager on focus groups and consumer insights to understand sales performance as well as current workplace trends
  • Collaborate with the Sales team on forecasting of new and current products and working with the Senior Marketing Manager in developing meaningful sales programs
  • Analyze new product launch performance against relevant KPIs as well as tracking sell-thru
  • Partner with Operations to understand manufacturing lead times and in stock planning to optimize launch plans 
  • Delight customers and clients by introducing innovative product experiences that are both digital and physical
  • Championing Hightower’s product portfolio through a marketing lens that understands the needs of our customers and clients

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10+ years relevant professional / industry experience, preferably in B2B marketing, communications, project management, etc.
  • Managed product development process from ideation to commercialization
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Excellent project management skills with familiarity of programs such as Asana, Slack, Google Drive
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Keen problem solving skills and ability to bring creative thinking to solve issues
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate multi-source data and identify trends
  • Strategic agility and big idea thinking, combined with a willingness to dive in as needed to get the job done
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
  • Proven ability to make fast decisions, independently, and with sound judgment
